Star Citizen's latest Roadmap Roundup commits a new Intersec Defence Solutions mission pack for Nyx in Alpha 4.10.3

The roadmap moved, and Nyx gets the attention. Cloud Imperium has published its Roadmap Roundup for October 21, 2026, the update that was due alongside Day of the Vara this week. It’s a short one, with just two changes on the Release View, but one of them is a brand new card.

New: Intersec Defence Solutions Mission Pack (Committed). CIG describes it as “an expansion of Intersec Defence Solutions’ contracts in Nyx, introducing new missions and gameplay opportunities centered on fighting the growing Vanduul threat, alongside new blueprints for players to earn.” The card was added straight in as Committed, and fan tracker Open Hangar lists it as the one item still to come in the 4.10 cycle, as part of Alpha 4.10.3.

Intersec already runs a Vanduul storyline in Nyx. Current contracts like Vanduul-Tech Smugglers send you after black marketeers dealing in Vanduul parts tied to ASD’s Onyx Facility, with Blades, Glaives, Scythes and Stingers in the mix. The new pack builds on that, and the promise of new earnable blueprints means crafting players have a reason to care too.

Released: Character Customization Update (Brows). Three new eyebrow styles and six reworked existing ones, brought up to current visual quality, are now marked Released in Alpha 4.10.2. The card moved from the 4.11 column, so it shipped earlier than the roadmap suggested.

Also worth knowing: On Spectrum, Nicou-CIG said the Item Recovery: Ship Loadout Improvements card, currently tentative for 4.11, will be updated in the next Roadmap Update because the team needs more time on ship loadout changes, expedite fees and timed claims, according to Open Hangar’s dev tracker. The rest of Alpha 4.11, including Genesis, Starchitect and the three Nyx planets, is still tentative for Q4.

PPR take: A committed card for a point patch is the closest thing Star Citizen’s roadmap has to a promise, so 4.10.3 looks like it will be about pushing back the Vanduul in Nyx. That fits nicely with the Vanduul theme already running through Day of the Vara’s skeleton invasion and its Snarling Vanduul Mask. No date or PTU wave yet, but we’ll post it as soon as testing starts.
