Editorial & Corrections Policy

PPRGaming is a small, independent gaming news site run by Ron Carter Jr. Run by a dedicated staff of 1 with software tools. Email comments or concerns to contact@pprgaming.com. Ron is responsible for what gets published here. This page explains how stories come together and what to do if we get something wrong.

How stories are sourced

Stories are based on official sources whenever they exist: developer and publisher announcements, patch notes, official blogs and forums, company filings and statements. For Star Citizen and Squadron 42, that usually means the RSI Comm-Link, Spectrum, the Dev Tracker and the official roadmap. When a story relies on reporting from other outlets, we stick to established, reputable publications and say who reported what.

Every story links its sources inline and lists them again in a Sources box at the bottom of the page, so you can check anything we say against the original.

Rumors, leaks and unconfirmed details

We don't publish unconfirmed leaks or rumors as fact. If a detail hasn't been confirmed by the developer or publisher, the story either leaves it out or clearly labels it as unconfirmed and says where it came from. Reports based only on anonymous sources are usually skipped. We don't guess at release dates, numbers or features that the sources don't state.

Opinion

Many stories end with a PPR take. That section is opinion and is labeled as such. Everything above it is meant to be straight reporting backed by the sources.

Spoilers

We don't put story spoilers in news coverage.

Reporting an error

If you spot a mistake, a broken link or something that's out of date, please tell us through the contact page. Include the story link and, if you can, a source that shows the correct information.

How corrections are handled

When a story contains a factual error, we fix it and add a short note to the story saying what changed and when. Small fixes that don't change the meaning, like typos or formatting, may be made without a note. When a story is updated with new information (for example, a confirmed date replacing a "coming soon"), the update is noted in the story as well.

Affiliate links and referrals

PPRGaming.com is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program. As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases. Amazon links on the site, such as on the Gear page, are affiliate links. Star Citizen stories include Ron's RSI referral code, which gives new players bonus starting credits. Affiliate relationships don't decide what we cover or what we say about it.

Independence

PPRGaming is not affiliated with Cloud Imperium Games, Roberts Space Industries or any other developer or publisher we cover.
