CONTROL Resonant hits 1 million copies, Remedy’s fastest seller ever

Three weeks after digital launch, CONTROL Resonant has cleared a million copies.
In an October 15 company press release (also listed on Remedy’s media page), Remedy Entertainment said worldwide sales exceeded 1 million copies, making Resonant the fastest-selling game in the studio’s 31-year history — ahead of Alan Wake 2’s roughly two-month climb to the same mark.
Key facts from Remedy:
- Digital launch was September 24, 2026 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC (Steam and Epic Games Store), with GeForce NOW support
- It is Remedy’s first self-published release of this scale
- Physical editions for PS5 and Xbox Series X arrived in stores around the same announcement window
- A Mac version via Steam and the App Store is planned for later in 2026
CEO Jean-Charles Gaudechon called the milestone “a very strong start” in a packed release window, and said the game is pulling in both long-time Control fans and new players — important as Remedy pushes for profitable growth across the Control and Alan Wake franchises.
PPR take: A million in three weeks will not rewrite industry charts, but for a self-published Remedy sequel it is the proof point the studio needed. Watching the November 3 Q3 business review for whether that velocity turns into actual profit is the next checkpoint.
