The fog lifts. Keen Games has taken Enshrouded out of Steam Early Access: version 1.0 is live today, October 15, on PC and PlayStation 5. The studio’s own news page puts it simply — “Enshrouded 1.0 is LIVE” — and Steam now lists the full release date as Oct 15, 2026.

Enshrouded entered Early Access on January 24, 2024. If you already own the PC version, Keen Games says you do not need to buy it again. Early Access players also get three exclusive decorative base props via Redeem Add-Ons.

What’s in 1.0, per Keen Games:

  • The full Embervale map, including the new northern biome Cinder’s Cradle — lava ruins below, floating Ancient islands above, linked by the Shroud
  • Two new Hollow Halls (Albaneve Summits and Veilwater Basin), plus expanded edges of Springlands, Blackmire and Kindlewastes
  • Player level cap raised to 50, gear upgrades to 55, and a new Flame level before you enter Cinder’s Cradle
  • A conclusion to the current Embervale story — Keen Games is clear the Shroud and the Fell aren’t gone for good
  • Full voice acting for lore notes and major survivors in English, German and Mandarin Chinese
  • Sparkworks, a new logic system for player-built switches, traps, puzzles and shared adventures
  • A new “brick renderer,” HDR support, mage-focused combat additions, and a long list of QoL and performance fixes

Price and platforms: Steam and PS5 at $39.99 / €39.99, with a 10% launch discount for the first 14 days (per Keen Games’ press release). Xbox Series X|S is planned for Spring 2027.

One practical note from the changelog: the first time you load an existing save in 1.0, your skill tree resets — spend the points again before you head out.

PPR take: Two-plus years of Early Access and the map finally opens all the way. Survival ARPGs that actually finish their story are rare; Keen Games shipping that on PC and a console debut the same day is a real milestone for Embervale.
