GameSpot calls October 2026 “absolutely stacked,” as publishers try to avoid the blast radius of Grand Theft Auto VI, which launches November 19.

Already out

  • Gears of War: E-Day — Oct 6 (PC, Xbox Series X|S)
  • Star Wars: Galactic Racer — Oct 6 (PC, PS5, Xbox)
  • Dragon’s Dogma 2: Dark Arisen — Oct 9 (PC, PS5, Xbox, Switch 2)
  • Valor Mortis and Planet Zoo 2 — Oct 13

Still to come

  • Final Fantasy Resonance — Oct 22: the first HD-2D Final Fantasy (Square Enix). A Steam demo is available.
  • Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 — Oct 23 (PC, PS5, Xbox, Switch 2), the first new CoD on a Nintendo console in years.
  • Minecraft (native Switch 2) — Oct 27
  • Phantom Blade Zero — Oct 29 (PS5, PC)
  • The Wolf Among Us Remastered — Oct 29

Note: PlayStation’s “This Month on PlayStation” page lists Modern Warfare 4 as 10/15/26, while GameSpot, Nintendo and Metacritic list October 23. We’re going with October 23 until Activision clarifies.
