Restart your game, Raiders. Embark Studios is rolling out Live Update 2.3.0 for ARC Raiders today. It brings a new community project, the Noxious Set in the store, and what Insider Gaming counts as around 100 fixes.

Souls Offering. The new player project has Celeste asking the people of Speranza to “pause and honor the fallen” as grim stories keep coming back from Pendola Pass. Embark says each offering is unique, “but all who pause in reverence share in their Soul’s Offering.” Fitting timing for the week of Halloween.

Heads-up: the Expedition Vault is closing. Everything you had in the Vault moves to your stash. If you bought extra Vault slots, you get Bronze Statuettes as compensation.

Balance changes worth knowing

  • Heavy Shield base charge goes from 80 to 90. Embark says usage is still low, so this is a small survivability bump that keeps it from pulling too far ahead of the Medium Shield.
  • Flame Spray now does 13 damage per second (up from 10) and loses durability 50% slower.
  • Firefly Burner now goes off on impact when thrown, leaving a trail of fire before it explodes about three seconds later. Before, you had to shoot it.
  • Adrenaline Shot works at max stamina now, and a second shot refreshes the timer instead of stacking.
  • Loot in the Emperor and the Frigate is now arranged so better rewards sit deeper inside. Containers by the entrance drop lower-tier loot.

Fixes. The Grappling Hook gets a big cleanup, including the snags that could fling you across the map at extreme speed. There are also many collision fixes around the fallen Emperor in Pendola Pass, plus stability work on the Frigate and on Xbox Series S memory. The advanced camera gets Color Push and Black & White filters. Embark also says that from now on it’s back to fixes every three weeks and store updates weekly, according to MP1st.

PPR take: A remembrance project for the season, buffs for gear nobody was using, and fixes for the grapple bug that kept launching people into orbit. Not flashy, but this patch should make raids feel better.
