Crimson Desert's Charting the Unknown launch brings two weeks of Twitch Drops: a pet parrot, pirate gear and Fair Wind ship parts
Free loot for watching the launch. Pearl Abyss has announced on X that the release of Charting the Unknown will bring new Crimson Desert Twitch Drops. It’s a two-week event: watch participating Crimson Desert streams with your Pearl Abyss account linked to Twitch, and rewards unlock at one, two and three hours of watch time.
Week one (works in the base game):
- 1 hour: 10 Braised Meat and a Pirate Lantern
- 2 hours: Pirate Eyepatch and Pirate Sword
- 3 hours: a Pet Parrot and a Parrot Pirate Hat
Week two (needs the DLC):
- 1 hour: Medium Fair Wind Figurehead
- 2 hours: Medium Fair Wind Stern
- 3 hours: Medium Fair Wind Sail
The week two items are ship parts, so, as GamingBible points out, you’ll need Charting the Unknown ($24.99) and its shipbuilding to use them.
When it runs (from Pearl Abyss’s schedule): week one is October 29 at 6 PM ET to November 4 at 6:59 PM ET, and week two runs right after it, November 4 at 7 PM ET to November 11 at 6:59 PM ET (remember the clocks fall back on November 1). That lines up with the expansion’s October 29 release, which was pushed back two weeks from October 15. PPR take: Six hours of streams for a pirate parrot is a fair trade if you leave a stream running while you play. The ship parts are the interesting bit, because they’re the first look at how cosmetic sail, stern and figurehead pieces will work once shipbuilding goes live. Drops like these rarely come back, so if you want the parrot, plan for it.
