Crimson Desert hotfixes 2.04.06 and 2.04.07 fix an AMD crash, a breakable Lumen Sword and vanishing Nibrak armor

Two more Crimson Desert hotfixes landed on Wednesday. Pearl Abyss posted the patch notes for version 2.04.06 at 05:10 UTC on November 4 (just after midnight ET), then followed with version 2.04.07 at 00:00 UTC on November 5, which is 7 PM ET Wednesday. Both are out on Steam (PC and Mac), PlayStation, Xbox and the Epic Games Store, with the Mac App Store still in progress. MP1st reports 2.04.06 shows up as update 1.000.689 on consoles.
The fixes that matter most
2.04.06 is the big one, with more than 20 fixes. A few stand out:
- AMD crash in Pailune. The game could crash there with the Cinematic option on while using AMD driver 26.10.1. Until this fix reaches you, MP1st notes Pearl Abyss’s advice to use driver 26.9.1 or earlier.
- Framerate drops in certain areas were improved, and Pearl Abyss says it’s still working on drops in other situations.
- Pioneering missions no longer get stuck when you send out two or more, or when your ship is near the anchorage.
- The Lumen Sword could be destroyed in some situations. That’s fixed, and a destroyed one can now be restored.
It also fixes trade goods disappearing when moved from a ship to a wagon, chatty crew members, and crashes near houses built in Free Construction mode. 2.04.07 is a single fix: Nibrak Cloth Armor was disappearing.
PPR take: Pearl Abyss keeps patching Charting the Unknown almost daily, and honestly the pace is the good news here. The Lumen Sword fix is the one I’d check first, since Pearl Abyss says broken ones can be restored, so if you lost yours, it’s worth looking again after updating. The pioneering fixes matter too, because a stuck mission chain can stall a whole save’s progress on the new content. AMD players on the newest driver should update right away, and if you still see the Pailune crash, rolling back the driver is the official workaround. The framerate line is the honest part: improved, not solved, so don’t expect miracles on that front just yet.
