Star Citizen 4.10.3 PTU build 13107423 nearly doubles the Reclaimer's salvage buffer and rebalances the Centaurus and Polaris

Salvagers, this one’s for you. CIG pushed a new Alpha 4.10.3 PTU build, 13107423, on Wednesday afternoon, and the official patch notes on Spectrum are a lot meatier than the last build. It’s still open to all waves on US-only PTU servers with long term persistence on, and testers are still being pointed at Vanduul Incursion, the LBCO Skarnov rifle and IAE on an accelerated schedule. As always on PTU, any of this can change before it hits LIVE.

Bigger salvage buffers across the board

The headline for me is the salvage pass. CIG grew the internal storage buffers on the whole salvage lineup. The Reclaimer goes from 240 to 448 SCU, and the Argo Moth jumps from 64 to 240 SCU. The smaller ships get modest bumps: Vulture 13 to 16 SCU, Fortune 13 to 14, Salvation 6 to 8 and the Gatac Hyun 32 to 40. A bigger buffer means more time scraping hulls and less time stopping to process, which is the part of salvage that usually breaks the flow.

Centaurus and Polaris rebalanced

The Constellation Mk V Centaurus gets a trade-off. Its armor deflection drops (physical 531 to 390, energy 380 to 330), but hull health goes up from 25,740 to 30,740. Its fuel tank shrinks from 46.8 to 32 SCU, and its thrusters now actually burn fuel. The Polaris goes the other way, with higher armor deflection against both physical and energy damage.

Radars, power and a multitool for everyone

The Starlancer, Perseus and Carrack radars are now size 3, and default power distribution was reworked so critical components don’t start switched off. The Starlifter picks up S3 and S10 bomb racks. On the player side, the notes say the multitool now comes with a tractor beam attachment. Savrals-CIG followed up on the Devtracker to fix that wording: the multitool with a tractor beam is now part of every player’s default loadout. High Risk bounties also pay 4,000 reputation instead of 2,000, and there are new hair and facial hair options.

PPR take: That Moth number made me do a double take. Going from 64 to 240 SCU changes what that ship is for, and the Reclaimer nearly doubling finally makes the big salvager feel big. I like seeing CIG tune whole careers at once instead of one ship at a time. The Centaurus change is the interesting one. Less deflection but more hull, plus real fuel burn, reads like CIG wants it tougher in a long fight but not shrugging off small guns, and after all the hydrogen talk around that ship, I’d rather they test it here than on LIVE. A tractor beam multitool for every new player is a small thing that saves a lot of headaches on day one. It’s PTU, so numbers can move, but I like where this is heading. Let them cook. 🚀
