GTA 6 is reportedly a 210GB download on PS5, so you'll want that November 12 pre-load

Start clearing space. Grand Theft Auto VI will be a 210GB download on PS5, according to the PlayStation Store tracking account PlayStation Game Size, Engadget reports. Insider Gaming corroborated the figure, per Engadget. Rockstar hasn’t confirmed the size itself, and GamesRadar+ notes that download size and final install size can differ.
How big is that? It’s 61GB more than the 149GB Red Dead Redemption 2 needed on PS4 in 2018, and more than half of the roughly 362GB of usable storage on a standard 512GB Xbox Series S, according to Engadget. The Xbox download size hasn’t been listed yet.
Pre-load opens November 12. That part is official. Take-Two’s pre-order announcement says digital pre-orders can start pre-loading on November 12, a week before launch on November 19 for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. Physical copies come with a download code in the box and go on sale November 12 so those players can pre-load too. The standard edition is $79.99 and the Ultimate Edition is $99.99. PlayStation Game Size also lists the release time as midnight.
PPR take: 210GB is a lot of drive for one game, especially on a Series S. If you’ve pre-ordered, plan to start that download on the 12th instead of launch night.
