Crimson Desert hotfix 2.04.03 fixes stuck pioneering missions, gifting and spouses who won't give gifts

Pearl Abyss isn’t taking the weekend off. Crimson Desert got another hotfix on Saturday, version 2.04.03, its third since the Charting the Unknown DLC and update 2.04.00 landed this week.
The patch notes went up at 12:00 UTC (8:00 AM ET) on October 31. Pearl Abyss says it’s available now on Steam (PC and Mac), PlayStation and the Epic Games Store, while Xbox and the Mac App Store versions are still in progress and will follow later. MP1st reports it shows up as patch 1.000.679 on consoles.
What’s fixed
From Pearl Abyss’s official notes:
- Certain pioneering missions could not be completed under certain conditions.
- ”Gift” now lets you select multiple items at once and set a quantity for each.
- Items were being returned instead of delivered when using “Gift”.
- Festivals no longer have customer visit intervals increase at night.
- Flying pets failed to follow characters under certain conditions.
- Spouses wouldn’t properly give gifts after marriage.
- Kliff’s unlock conditions couldn’t be checked during certain quest progression.
- Characters could appear transparent when switching characters under certain conditions.
- Character eyes were improved so they appear more clearly.
- Underwater sound effects could be heard in places that aren’t underwater, such as the title screen.
- The skills UI for characters you aren’t currently playing displayed abnormally.
- [Keyboard/Mouse] Key guides overlapped during interactions.
- The player character’s arms shook while facing an enemy.
Pearl Abyss points players to its separate Known Issues notice for problems that are still open.
PPR take: Three hotfixes in a few days for a DLC this big is about what you’d hope for. The pioneering mission fix is the one people stuck on the new islands will care about most.
