Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2 hits Netflix tonight at midnight Pacific, with Hideo Kojima as braindance director Hideyoshi Oshima

Night City is back on Netflix in a few hours. Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2 premieres on Tuesday, October 20, and all 10 episodes land at once. In the US that’s midnight Pacific, or 3:00 AM Eastern, and 8:00 AM BST in the UK, according to GamesRadar+. There’s no weekly schedule to wait on.
A new crew, not a continuation. Netflix describes the season as a standalone 10-episode story about redemption and revenge, with a fresh group of mercenaries, an all-new voice cast and a reimagined animation style. The official site says it follows Weak, a washed-up cyberpunk legend now living without chrome, and D, a deadly nomad on a revenge path that leads him toward corpo secrets. CD PROJEKT RED and TRIGGER are making it again, with Kai Ikarashi directing and the first season’s writers, Bartosz Sztybor and Masahiko Otsuka, back on the story.
Kojima is in it. The official Edgerunners account revealed on Monday that Hideo Kojima appears as Hideyoshi Oshima, the Japanese braindance director he played in Cyberpunk 2077, Anime.com reports. Players will remember Oshima from Konpeki Plaza during The Heist, and the reveal still shows him sitting at a restaurant table in the show’s art style.
PPR take: The first Edgerunners sent a lot of people back to Cyberpunk 2077, so don’t be surprised if Night City gets busy again this week. Putting Kojima’s Oshima in the show is a nice nod for anyone who has played the game.
