PPRGaming Daily Roundup – November 1, 2026

Hello all! Here are a few stories that didn’t quite make the main page with a full write-up. They’re still worth a look.
Crimson Desert hotfix 2.04.05 fixes a Ravok crash and three stuck quests
Pearl Abyss wasn’t done after this morning’s 2.04.04. A second hotfix, version 2.04.05, landed later on November 1 and fixes a crash during the fight with Ravok of the Savage Fangs. It also unsticks three quests: Damiane’s exclusive quest “End and Beginning” (which could stall if you finished the main story’s “Journey’s End” within a certain window), quests to propose to certain witches, and Kliff’s “Beyond the Margins,” which wouldn’t progress unless you owned a fishing rod. MP1st reports it shows up as update 1.000.683 and that it’s live on Steam, PlayStation and Epic, with Xbox and the Mac App Store still waiting. A boss crash is the kind of bug that stops a playthrough cold, so this one matters more than its four-line patch note suggests. The Known Issues list still flags an AMD driver crash in Pailune with the Cinematic preset on.
Dune: Awakening's free Blood and Ice expansion takes you to Arrakis' frozen north on December 1
Funcom announced that Blood and Ice, a free expansion, launches December 1 on PC, PS5 and Xbox. It adds a whole new map, the Polar Sink, split into a tundra where water shipper families guard fortified strongholds and a heavily guarded ice cap beyond it. The twist is that the survival loop flips: you’re hunting for heat instead of hiding from it, and desert gear needs upgrading to handle the cold. Ice you harvest can cool your base equipment back home and speed up production. Funcom puts it at around 35 hours of progression, plus new vehicle modules, augments and specialization traits. The same update plan brings a cosmetics store, offline single-player in November, and character transfers and full cross-play in January 2027, as PC Gamer notes. Thirty-five free hours is a serious drop for a survival game.
Warframe: Tau leaves the Origin System in December
Digital Extremes used Devstream 198 on October 30 to confirm that Warframe: Tau arrives in December, free on PC, console and mobile. No exact date yet. It’s the first time the game’s main action moves past the Origin System, into the Tau system, with two locations at launch: the moon Perita, now a decayed wasteland with a revamped Survival mission, and the mob-run ring city of Fornax, home to a new social hub called Manifold 90-BF. A new ally Syndicate, the Cleaving Glaive, scavenges Perita. The headline is the 67th Warframe, Brysko, a detective-noir frame voiced by Matthew Mercer who stars in the new cinematic quest; PCGamesN has a closer look at his kit, which includes a Hound companion. Digital Extremes says more is coming at its next Devstream on November 27.
PPR take: Two of today’s three are about live games choosing to give big content away instead of charging for it, and that’s worth noticing. Funcom is betting that a free map with a flipped survival loop, plus offline play, brings lapsed Dune players back, and Digital Extremes is doing what it’s done for thirteen years, just in a new star system this time. Crimson Desert is the other side of live service: not new content, just a studio shipping two hotfixes in one day to clean up after a big DLC. If you’re mid-playthrough and hit the Ravok crash, update and try again.
