Mole Mania, Avenging Spirit and Revenge of the 'Gator join Nintendo Switch Online's Game Boy library on October 27

Three more cartridges for the pile. Nintendo has announced that the Game Boy – Nintendo Classics app on Switch Online will add Mole Mania, Avenging Spirit and Pinball: Revenge of the ‘Gator on October 27, as Gematsu and VGC report.
What’s coming:
- Mole Mania (1997): a puzzle game produced by Shigeru Miyamoto. You play as Muddy, a mole rescuing his wife Maggie and their seven kids from the evil farmer Jinbe. Its seven mazes have an overground layer and an underground layer, and you dig to swap between them.
- Avenging Spirit (1992): Jaleco’s side-scrolling platformer where your hero starts the game already dead. To rescue his girlfriend from a crime syndicate, you possess enemies and use their abilities.
- Pinball: Revenge of the ‘Gator: a HAL Laboratory pinball game that inspired the studio’s later Kirby’s Pinball Land. Its Japanese title translates to Pinball: The Great 66-Alligator Parade.
According to VGC, this brings the Game Boy and Game Boy Color lineup on Switch Online to 49 games, plus four more exclusive to the Japanese app. VGC lists Game Boy games as part of the standard Switch Online membership ($3.99 a month, $7.99 for three months or $19.99 a year) on Switch and Switch 2. Gematsu’s write-up lists the app under Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack.
PPR take: Mole Mania is the standout, a clever Miyamoto puzzler most people skipped in 1997. It’s also nice to see a ghost game land just before Halloween.
