No Rest for the Wicked 1.0 swaps attributes for 24 weapon-driven classes

Moon Studios used its latest Wicked Inside showcase to lay out what No Rest for the Wicked looks like when it leaves Early Access, and the biggest change is how you build a character.
According to the studio’s showcase details, the old attribute system is gone. Picking up a weapon now changes your class, out of 24 possible classes, and you can carry traits from one class into another. Moon says there are 362 traits to slot across those classes, so mixing builds is the point.
What else is coming in 1.0:
- Six factions to join, including the assassins of the Severed Hand, the knightly Sacrament Guard and the Unspoken, each with its own questline, traits, vendors and surprises
- Cerim Cores, which control how you survive, from simple health, stamina and focus boosts to stranger ones like “Feral” for attack speed and “Crimson” for lifesteal; go over your Core capacity and you take more damage from every hit
- An update that roughly doubles the size of the game, with new zones, new enemy factions and bosses, loot and combat refinements, and quality-of-life fixes
- Extra work to make sure PlayStation 5 performance runs smoothly
Release: No Rest for the Wicked is in Early Access on PC now. Version 1.0 launches on PlayStation 5 and PC via Steam in March 2027, with Xbox Series and Switch 2 coming later.
PPR take: Tying your class to the weapon in your hand is a big swing for a game built on careful, Souls-style combat. If the 24 classes really feel different, the 1.0 relaunch could be the moment this one finally clicks for the players who bounced off Early Access.
