No warning, just Lara. On Tomb Raider’s 30th anniversary week, Aspyr quietly put Shadow of the Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition on the Nintendo Switch 2 eShop today, Gematsu reports. It’s the last piece of the Survivor Trilogy, so all three reboot games are now playable on Switch 2.

What you get, per Aspyr and Nintendo Life:

  • The full game plus all seven DLC Challenge Tombs, every downloadable weapon, outfit and skill, and two-player online co-op.
  • $39.99, with 10% off on the eShop until November 4.
  • Tomb Raider: Definitive Survivor Trilogy, a new bundle of Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition, Rise of the Tomb Raider: 20 Year Celebration and Shadow, for $69.99 (also 10% off at launch).

Nintendo Life noted the eShop listing was still rolling out by region when the news broke, so give it a few hours if it isn’t showing up for you yet.

How we got here: Aspyr has shadow-dropped every one of these. Game Rant points out that Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition landed on Switch and Switch 2 last November, and Rise of the Tomb Raider followed in June as a Switch 2 exclusive. Shadow originally launched on PS4, Xbox One and PC on September 14, 2018, and sits at an 80 Top Critic Average on OpenCritic.

PPR take: Forty bucks is steep for an eight-year-old game that goes for pocket change on other stores, but having the whole trilogy portable is a real draw. Nintendo Life gave the first two Switch 2 ports an 8/10, so the odds look good. And it’s a nice warm-up before Legacy of Atlantis on February 12, 2027.
