The full list is out. After today’s REDstreams with Paweł Sasko and Natalia Pych, CD PROJEKT RED posted the patch notes for Cyberpunk 2077’s Edgerunners 2 Update (2.5), which we first covered yesterday. It goes live tomorrow, October 22, on PC and Mac (Steam, GOG, Epic), PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, with Switch 2 and the Mac App Store version “in the days to follow” (X announcement).

Mods on consoles. The biggest surprise is cross-platform mod support powered by mod.io: you’ll be able to browse and install a curated selection of player-made mods from the in-game menu on PC, Mac, PS5, PS5 Pro, Xbox Series X|S and Switch 2. CDPR calls it “a first step” and says more mods will be added over time. One catch for console players: saves that use mods get a special icon, and achievements and trophies are disabled on a modded save.

The Edgerunners content.

  • Clampdown, a new side quest set before the events of Edgerunners 2. To unlock it, finish The Heist and two gigs for Wakako, then wait for her message.
  • A 5-piece gear set based on King, earned during Clampdown.
  • HKGN 102.0 FM, a new radio station with tracks from the Edgerunners series.

New ways to play and show off.

  • The Double Trouble perk in the Cool tree, plus four supporting perks, lets you dual-wield Power pistols and revolvers, with new Photo Mode poses to match.
  • Cyberware skins: five Glamdocs, each in its own shop with an intro scene, let you restyle Mantis Blades, Gorilla Arms, Monowire and the Projectile Launch System with custom colors.
  • Five new outfit sets from Maxiwear, Jinguji, NetWatch and IconAmerica (with a fifth coming later), the NUS Infiltrator set, and some NPC-only hairstyles for V.
  • Cyberpunk Trading Card Game frames in Photo Mode, and four TWINTONE skins for the Quadra Turbo-R V-Tech through Twitch Drops.

More to do. A second new side quest has Richard Night narrating a guided tour of the city (unlocks after The Heist at Street Cred 15), and 12 Minor Arcana tarot cards extend the Fool on the Hill quest with a reward for collecting them all.

Quality of life and tech. Consoles finally get an FOV slider. Saves are now grouped by playthrough, and stashes get item filters. On PC, 2.5 adds DLSS 4.5 with up to 6X Multi Frame Generation, drops FSR 3 upscaling (FSR 2.1, FSR 4 and FSR 3.1 Frame Generation stay), and adds an FSR Anti-Lag 2 toggle. CDPR also lists ray tracing and PS5 Pro optimizations, better HDR, and fixes such as the Switch 2 “Save failed, insufficient space” error and Film Grain doing nothing.

PPR take: This is a much bigger update than “anime tie-in” suggested. Console mods and an FOV slider are the headline for most players, and a new Wakako-linked quest is a good excuse to reinstall. Just remember that if you want trophies or achievements on console, keep a clean save separate from your modded one.
