Shrek 2 Remastered is official for November 10, headlining an ID@Xbox Showcase that also dated Mouthwashing and The Wolf Among Us Remastered

The swamp is open for business. Four days after the Xbox Store leaked it, Aspyr made it official: DreamWorks Shrek 2 Remastered launches November 10 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, Switch 2 and PC (Steam and Epic Games Store) for $29.99, per Gematsu. The reveal landed during today’s ID@Xbox x IGN Showcase, and Xbox Wire says pre-orders are live on Xbox now, with up to 20% off for Game Pass members and 10% off for everyone else through November 9.
What’s new in Shrek 2
The feature list matches what the leaked store page promised. Textures and UI were rebuilt at up to 4K, cutscenes were remade, and there’s a new Photo Mode and a Cheat Mode. The big one for a party game is up to four players in couch co-op, online, or a mix of both. You can still swap between heroes at any time to use their abilities, from Shrek’s swamp all the way to Far Far Away. At $29.99, it’s priced as a nostalgia pick-up rather than a full-price release.
The Wolf Among Us gets a date
The Wolf Among Us Remastered got a new story trailer with the first look at Bigby’s redesigned werewolf form. It launches digitally on October 29, and Telltale lists PC, PS5, Switch and Xbox One (playable on Series X|S), with a new black-and-white Noir Mode and playable deleted scenes from the 2013 original.
CRITICAL REFLEX comes to Xbox
Publisher CRITICAL REFLEX had a good show. Arctic Eggs was the surprise launch and is out today on Xbox Series X|S, and the space-freighter horror hit Mouthwashing joins Game Pass on October 29, the same day as The Wolf Among Us. No, I’m Not a Human follows on Game Pass in 2027.
Everything else
Xbox packed nearly 20 games into the stream. ZA/UM’s spy RPG ZERO PARADES: Director’s Cut arrives on Xbox Series X|S and PC on November 3 with about 40,000 words of new story. A Game About Digging a Hole Together, the co-op sequel to the beach-digging hit, is out December 4 on Game Pass, and the MMO-lite Scramble Knights Online launches October 26. For 2027, the reveals included Magenta Down, a sci-fi survival adventure from the Unto The End team, the boss-climbing action RPG VANRAN, the precision platformer Croak and the Cold War vampire spy RPG Red Kiss, among others. Xbox says many of the games will support Xbox Play Anywhere at launch, so one purchase covers both console and PC.
PPR take: Shrek 2 was the obvious headliner, and a four-player remaster at $29.99 is an easy sell for anyone who grew up with it. But October 29 is the date we’re circling. The Wolf Among Us Remastered and Mouthwashing on Game Pass land the same day, which makes it a good night for a dark story. Indie showcases like this one are also where you find next year’s surprise hit, so Magenta Down and VANRAN are going on our watch list for 2027.
